Welcome Wominjeka
A letter from Co-Secretary Generals
Distinguished Delegates, Fellow Student Officers, Respected Advisors, and Esteemed Guests,
We are honoured to serve as co-Secretary Generals for the 4th annual MelbMUN conference and would like to extend our warmest welcome to all participants.
We are delighted for you to join us at MelbMUN 2018 for 3 days of rigorous debate, exciting socials, and the opportunity meet fellow MUN-enthusiasts in Australia’s ‘most livable city’* from June 25th - 27th.
Initiated in 2015, MelbMUN has since evolved into a robust arena for both MUN newcomers and seasoned delegates to challenge themselves with the intricacies of international diplomacy, debate, and statesmanship.
Face with real life international crises, delegates are challenged to produce innovative and comprehensive resolutions within specialised committees over a 3 day simulation of a United Nations conference. MelbMUN has served as a valuable platform for many former delegates to pursue a career in Australian international diplomacy.
MelbMUN 2018 will be focused on the key theme of ‘Diversity: Representation in Modern Australia’. We are committed to creating an welcoming, responsive, and safe environment for all MelbMUN participants to represent their delegation with integrity and respect.
Any and all feedback from the MUN community is welcomed as we hope to foster greater inclusivity for MelbMUN 2018. Please do not hesitate to contact us at <[email protected]> with any further queries or suggestions for improvement you may have.
We wish you the very best for MelbMUN 2018 and look forward to an unforgettable conference!
*for the 7th consecutive year. We acknowledge that Sydney’s not so bad, either.
